We fit all types of flooring across Ilford. Wood flooring for that proper traditional look. Engineered wood if you've got underfloor heating. Laminate for a budget-friendly option. LVT — luxury vinyl tile — brilliant for kitchens and bathrooms because it's waterproof and tough.
Each type needs fitting differently. Wood needs acclimatising before we fit it, otherwise it'll move and gap. Laminate needs decent underlay and expansion gaps. LVT needs the subfloor absolutely flat or you'll see every imperfection through it.
We prep the subfloor properly before we start. If it's concrete, we'll check moisture levels and put down damp proof membrane if needed. If it's timber, we'll screw down any loose boards so you don't get squeaks. Takes time, but means the floor lasts.
